GROUP AGAINST DEGRADE OF ROME
INTRODUCTION
In collaboration with Italia Nostra Non-profit organization

During 1995, FESTINA LENTE and BTA - Telematic Bulletin of Art , have supported the cultural battles of roman section of Italia Nostra, Non-profit organization for the protection of Cultural and Natural italian national heritage.

Thanks to Alfredo Barbagallo , Regional Counseelor of Italia Nostra, BTA have transmitted in Internet the most important Press Release against degrade of Rome Cultural Heritage.

In the Press Conferences, we have accused the situation of pitiful, phisical degrade of some of the wonderful masterpieces of the city of Rome, and we have also underlined the danger of the indifference of the people.

The physical degrade, infact, start only in social and urban situtations where is lacking civic conscience about the importance of the work of Art and about the way to preserve it.

We believe that the " man-shooting " or the ritual research of the scape-goat will not resolve the problems of the city: without the engagement to create a diffuse civic conscience for the culture and respect of Art.
